Keyboard lessons this Winter/Spring?

I’m offering another session of affordable piano classes for children or adults. Whether you’re beginning or need to refresh your skills, now’s your chance to study music with group or private lessons.

Group lessons double as a way of introducing kids to an instrument as well as new potential friends, and are helpful in gaining approval or social status. Learning piano helps anyone studying another instrument. Band and string players usually begin playing in a group context, so why not keyboardists? I did! Adults can seek out their passion for music. And costing less than private instruction helps too!

A 9-week course of 45-minute weekly lessons will follow a sequential approach to building basic keyboard skills and understanding musical notation. (A 10th “bonus lesson” will be added for any class with 5 or more students, so tell your friends!) The small classes of 3 – 8 students each will start on Monday afternoon, Feb. 23rd in the Good Shepherd. (A group class for adults may be offered on Saturday afternoons if there’s enough interest.) The $190 fee (that’s only $21 a lesson!) includes instruction books and keyboards to play during the lesson, but each student will need their own keyboard to practice on.

If I don’t have at least 3 people to fill a class, or if you wish to study privately, I’m also offering 30-minute private lessons at a mutually convenient day and time. This 9-week block of private lessons is $270; or $30 a lesson. So whether you want group or private lessons, print out a registration form below!
