Next Sunday, December 7th at 3:00 PM, Holy Name of Jesus Church invites you to join them for A Bilingual Celebration of Lessons and Carols / Una Celebracion Bilingue de Lecciones y Villancicos. With roots in ancient Christian vigils, Lessons and Carols narrates the Christmas story from the time of Adam and Eve to the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. After each reading the audience either sings or listens to a carol. St. Francis Xavier Church on Sixth Avenue will present their version on Monday, December 15th at 7:30
PM while Our Lady of Peace Church on Carroll Street offers theirs on Sunday, December 21st at 7:00 PM.

On Sunday, December 14th Immaculate Heart of Mary Church presents The Glory of the Season at 4:30
PM just before our 10th Annual Angel & Tree Lighting, featuring three settings of the Gloria, including a world premiere! If that's not enough, you can race over to St. Augustine Church, where the Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus sings Glorious Glorias; the Vivaldi Gloria, the Rutter Gloria, Poulenc Gloria plus favorite holiday songs at 5:00 PM!

To celebrate the Nativity, the Diocesan Vicariate Choir and Celestial Voices will perform music of Advent and Christmas on Friday, December 12th at 7:30
PM. Come hear works of Mendelssohn, Rutter, Whitacre and Proulx at Resurrection Ascension Church in Rego Park. Tickets for this concert, which I'm singing in, are $15.00.
