Joanna Sanges

Joanna performed on our inaugural #young@heart in December of 2013. She is an undergraduate Vocal Performance major at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She enjoys performing in the school’s many choirs and performance ensembles, and has performed in both musicals and operas, playing leading roles including “Dorothy” in The Wizard of Oz, “Sarah” in Guys and Dolls, and “Olive Ostrovsky” in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Having sung in her own parish choir since she was a young child, she began working as a leader of song and cantor at St. William the Abbot in Seaford, Long Island, and continues to sing in the local church choir while she is away at college. In the fall of 2014, she received first place in the Civic Morning Musicals vocal competition.
